Tomorrow is Eid Qurban, 10 Dzulhijjah 1431 H
Normally in my hometown we will celebrate this day with family and friends
Begin with Eid Qurban prayer in the Masjid or grassy field in our village
And then, the men will slaughter the animal which will be sacrifice as qurban.
After that, they made this meat from th animal (usually cow or goat) in the certain portion and then every household in the village will take one portion to their family.
Many dishes can be made from this meat.
For example rendang, soto, gulai, kari, sate, etc.
This year i will spent Eid Qurban here in Innsbruck with the others friend.
Last year also the same, i can't celebrate this day with my parent, family and friends in my country Indonesia. But still, here we can cook the dishes together and then gathering in the dining room to eat and share some stories so we can laugh and feels like home.
Usually my mom will making different dishes, not from meat but from fish.
We call it Tekwan, its really delicious.
I always miss my mother's cuisine, especially like this time.
But i hope i still can enjoy the time here with all friends and relatives, to celebrate together and enjoying food like one big family.
Happy Eid Qurban for all..
Innsbruck, 9 Dzulhijjah 1431 H
